The Story
The goal at this Boise home was a defined outdoor room that extends the living space beyond the walls of the house. It had to give shade, and work for morning coffee, evening gatherings or a quiet hour.
The custom pergola is the centerpiece, designed to complement the home's architecture. Its overhead beams are spaced to give shade while still letting natural light filter through. Below it, the paver patio's pattern and color palette were chosen to feel warm and inviting in every season.
The posts are anchored securely, and the structure is built to carry climbing plants and stand up to Idaho's changeable weather. Pergola and patio were planned together, so stepping out from the house onto the terrace feels like one continuous space.
