A Yard That Works After the Sun Goes Down.
We design and build lighting for paths, steps, trees, walls and the rooms you sit in, as part of a designed landscape across Boise and the Treasure Valley. Warm, shielded and aimed down: you see the garden rather than the fixtures, and the neighbors aren't left looking at your lights.

Light for Walking, Sitting and Looking.
Good landscape lighting does three jobs: it gets you safely down the steps, it makes the outdoor rooms usable at night, and it shows off a few things worth seeing. We design for all three, and leave the rest dark.

About Lighting the Garden.

How much does landscape lighting cost in Boise?
We design lighting as part of a landscape, so we price the landscape it belongs to. A complete backyard with full lighting typically invests $80,000–$150,000, a lit outdoor room $55,000–$105,000, and a whole property with full lighting $125,000–$230,000, design and build included. Lighting on its own is usually below where our projects begin.
Can you add lighting to our existing yard?
Usually as part of a larger update. Lighting is simplest when conduit goes in under the patio and through the walls as they are built. In a finished yard we can run wire through planting beds, but if lighting is all you need, we'll tell you honestly and point you to someone who does it on its own.
Do I need a permit for landscape lighting?
Not for low-voltage lights in Boise, but usually for the power that feeds them. Boise doesn't require an electrical permit for low-voltage outdoor lighting. It does for 110-volt lighting and for any new wiring or outlet, such as the one a transformer plugs into. Other cities set their own rules, so we check yours and pull any permit the work needs. Boise's homeowner's guide lists them.
Will our lights bother the neighbors?
Not if they're shielded and aimed down. We use warm-white fixtures with glare guards, keep the light on your own trees, paths and walls, and avoid anything that shines across the property line or into windows. Some HOAs have lighting rules too, and we design to them.
How many lights does a backyard need?
Fewer than most people expect. Lighting every surface makes a yard look flat. We light the paths and steps you walk, the rooms you sit in and a handful of trees, walls or plants worth seeing, and leave the rest in shadow.
What color of light looks best in a garden?
Warm white. Warm light flatters stone, wood and planting and feels like evening; cooler light can make a garden look harsh. We keep one color across the yard so nothing clashes.
Can the lights run on a timer, or from my phone?
Yes. We group fixtures into zones on a timer, so the paths come on at dusk and the terrace when you want it. Many systems can also be run from an app or a smart-home hub.
