The Story

The brief

This Boise Foothills backyard had a slope that was going unused. The aim was a fully functional basketball court, a place for the family to play and exercise together.

The design

Creating a level playing surface on a foothills slope took extensive grading and excavation, and the site was shaped to drain properly. Fencing around the court was chosen to stop stray balls while keeping the sightlines to the mountains open.

The build

The court is durable concrete, built to handle Idaho's changeable weather. Professional-grade goals went in at regulation height, with tempered glass backboards and breakaway rims, anchored securely for stability.
